cakeI don’t know about you, but I know I have often felt that in order to have success, I have to sacrifice something. Often times being told by others that I had to give up the things dear to my heart. For years I settled for that and put my dreams on hold. I told my self there’s no way I can be a good mother, wife, friend and go after my dreams.

You may be asking your self “what on earth has prompted Mrs. Jones to write about this?’ I know it has nothing to do with soaps. The truth is Jones Soaps exist today because I dared to break out the mold. Because I decided I was going to have my cake and eat it too!

The truth is that to achieve your dreams you don’t have to sacrifice your family or friends. It can all be part of an amazing  journey of growth and fulfillment unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

I’m still a homeschooling mom, I still make meals from scratch for my family, manage a growing business, develop new products, spend time with friends and my amazing husband. Imagine I even have me time! Yes bubble bath time with my iPod and kindle.

The key is that I had to learn to strike a balance and prioritize. Rather than living life as it happened I had to learn to design my life and live it by design. Now I’m no expert when it comes to living life by design. But I will share with you the person who taught me how to have my cake and eat it too. Her name is Dani Johnson.

Who is Dani Johnson? I can sit here and type all kinds of words to describe who she is but I’m instead going to share an article that was just recently published by Forbes about the woman who has mentored me and changed the way my family and I live. I’m also going to share with you one of her radio shows archives that rocked my world. It talks about this very topic. Her story and what she has done for me and countless others is just too great. I don’t want to miss a thing. What I will tell you is she lives what she preaches.  I hope that what you’re about to read inspires you as much as it inspired me. Life is too short to not live it to the fullest.

Today, my friend, I want you to take that step of faith ad start designing the life you truly want to live. Your dreams and goals can very well be the key that unlocks the opportunities you’ve been looking for. They can be the very thing that can not only transform your family, but your city or even this nation. Don’t allow negativity, fear, doubt or even your current circumstances to kill that dream. Let it burn deep in your heart and be the very thing that motivates you to rise above all things. I know you have it in you to succeed beyond your wildest dreams.

Warm wishes,
